Tier I Intervention for Behavior -  you can adapt this for many behaviors

children exhibit that limit their ability to learn in your classroom.

Immediate Classroom Assessments for RTI, they are quick, simple, and

provide immediate feedback to a student who has been selected for Tier

I interventions.

Behavior - how do you measure and provide feedback for students behavior?

Using poster board or laminated paper or tag board, create a ruler out of a

number line that looks like this:

Tape it to a student's notebook or desktop, and as you move among the students in the

classroom during a lesson, place a marker or other object on the part of the number line

that shows the student "how he's doing today". The guiding question is "what percentage

of the lesson measures how well the student paid attention today (or whatever the behavior

is you're trying to measure). It will become habit, you will enjoy it and so will he. You can

keep a chart of how many "1's", 2's etc. he earns each week with some sort of reward at

the end of each week for a certain score. you need to negotiate those rewards, it's part

of the intervention between with the student.
